As a member you will be informed about upcoming events, our activities and other news regularly by e-mail and you will be invited to join our Walks in the Watershed.

By becoming a member you will be strengthening our voice for the Ghost Watershed.

Annual memberships for GWAS are only $10 for individuals and $20 for families.

Support GWAS's work by making a donation today! You can donate by sending an Interac e-transfer to the email address listed below.

Please note: GWAS is registered for auto-deposit, no security question will be required. GWAS is a registered Society in Alberta, but does not have charitable status with CRA at this time, so we cannot issue tax receipts for donations.

GWAS has many different volunteer opportunties:


Volunteer for our Water Monitoring Program

GWAS is looking for volunteers to help its water monitoring program which consists of the following components:

  • CreekWatch Citizen Science water sampling
  • Stream Temperature Loggers
  • Canandian Aquatic Biomonitoring Protocol (CABiN) sampling

Volunteer for our Education & Outreach Programs

Raising awareness with people of all ages is an important part of GWAS’s work. We are looking for volunteers to help deliver the following programs:

  • School Field Trips
  • Indoor presentations
  • Walks in the Watershed

Volunteer to help restore Riparian Areas

We are looking for volunteers to help us restore riparian areas in the Ghost Watershed that have been impacted by various land-use activities.

Bio-engineering field restoration days are led by experienced ecosystem restoration professionals. More information on bio-engineering can be found here.
