What is the problem we are trying to address?

The Ghost Public Land-use Zone, of which the Ghost Watershed covers about half the area, is a very popular area for recreational pursuits. Not all users keep their camp site or target shooting area clean unfortunately.

Since 2008, we have collaborated with groups and organizations to undertake annual clean-up events in the Ghost Watershed.

Over the years, volunteers with the BP Volunteers, Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, Freshwater Conservations Canada and Calgary ATV Riders Association have helped GWAS collect thousands of kilograms of waste and target shooting debris.
