The Ghost is subject many different land-uses. The main uses of, and activities in, the Ghost Watershed are:

- environmental services, especially water supply,

- cattle grazing,

- forestry,

- oil and gas exploration,

- hunting and trapping

- non-motorized recreation such as horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, rock and ice climbing,

- motorized recreation with quads, dirt bikes and 4x4s as well as RV camping.

All of these land-uses have an impact. Through projects and research undertaken by GWAS, we are looking at finding ways to manage land-uses in ways that will not degrade the watershed.
